Extension of Disability Certificates and Related Benefits Validity

This law extends the validity of certain disability certificates and disability degree certificates until September 30, 2024. This ensures that people with disabilities will not lose access to their entitled benefits, such as parking cards or social assistance, and their support decisions will be automatically updated. The aim is to provide continuity of support without the need for new applications.
Key points
Disability certificates that were set to expire between August 5, 2023, and September 30, 2024, remain valid until September 30, 2024.
Parking cards will also retain their validity for the same extended period.
Decisions granting social assistance, family benefits, caregiver allowances, and other disability-related support will be automatically extended.
There is no need to submit new applications or undergo additional interviews to extend these benefits.
