Facilitating Class Actions: Faster Proceedings and Greater Flexibility

The draft law aims to streamline and accelerate class action proceedings, encouraging citizens to use them more often. The changes are intended to make claiming damages simpler and faster, allowing for more effective protection of many individuals' rights simultaneously.
Key points
Option to form "closed groups": group members can decide that no new individuals will join the lawsuit after it's filed, speeding up court proceedings.
Individual settlements won't halt class action: if a group member settles with the defendant, it won't affect the ongoing resolution of the case for other members.
Claiming higher damages after judgment: after a class action concludes, citizens will be able to pursue claims exceeding the amount set in the class action through separate individual lawsuits.
