Changes in rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities

The law simplifies procedures for companies buying goods or services from people with disabilities to reduce their PFRON contributions. It also introduces changes to the rules for sheltered workshops, including medical care and employment limits. The new regulations aim to make life easier for both employers and people with disabilities.
Key points
Companies can now submit a one-time request for the information needed to reduce PFRON contributions, without having to repeat it for each purchase.
Sheltered workshops must provide specialist medical care and rehabilitation services, and the employment limit for people with disabilities is a maximum of 55%.
A provincial governor can temporarily exempt a sheltered workshop from certain requirements if it cannot find suitable employees with disabilities.
