Social Services Centers closer to residents: easier access to support and public consultations

The new regulations will make it easier for municipalities to establish and run Social Services Centers (CUS), resulting in better support for residents. Citizens will gain a direct say in local services through mandatory public consultations, and the centers will be allowed to offer 24-hour temporary care.
Key points
Citizen influence on services: Every draft of a social services program or its modification must undergo mandatory public consultations with local residents.
24-hour support: Social services centers will be allowed to run 24-hour care units, such as assisted living or temporary stay centers.
Easier recruitment of specialists: Support plan coordinators can now be professionals with degrees in pedagogy, psychology, sociology, and other fields, improving access to help.
Protection of the name 'Social Services Center': The name will be legally protected and reserved only for certified municipal units to protect residents from fraudulent entities.
Government salary subsidies: The government will be able to co-finance the salaries of CUS employees directly from the state budget.
More stable employment for directors: Center directors will be employed under more secure employment contracts instead of political appointments.
