Changes in Prison Service and university name
The Act changes the operational rules of the Prison Service, including supervision over its university. The Academy of Justice Administration changes its name to the Academy of the Prison Service. Qualifications obtained at the former Academy remain valid.

New rules for appointing the Rector and Vice-Rector of the university and requirements for managerial staff in the Prison Service have been defined.
The terms of office of the former authorities of the Academy of Justice Administration expire, and new authorities of the Academy of the Prison Service will be appointed or elected.
