Repeal of the Central Pension Information Act and new features in mObywatel
The draft act proposes repealing the Act on Central Pension Information (CIE) due to costs and low projected interest. Instead of building a separate CIE system, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will be able to make information about accumulated funds (including from IKE, IKZE, PPE, PPK, OFE) and hypothetical pension available to insured persons via the mObywatel application.
Key points
The Act on Central Pension Information (CIE) is repealed.
ZUS gains the ability to make information about funds from IKE, IKZE, PPE, PPK, OFE, and KRUS available in the mObywatel application.
Insured persons will be able to check data on contributions, the value of participation units, and hypothetical pension in mObywatel.
Information on non-mandatory pension programs will be made available based on voluntary agreements between operators and the Minister of Digital Affairs.
