Digitally Connected Offices: What the New Informatization Law Means for You.

The new law aims to improve cooperation between public administration IT systems. For citizens, this means simpler and faster official procedures, as data can be more easily exchanged between institutions, reducing the need to submit the same documents multiple times.
Key points
Better data exchange between offices: Administration's IT systems will cooperate better, which is intended to shorten case processing times and reduce the need to provide the same documents to different institutions.
New Committee for Digitalization: A special committee will be established to opinionate and monitor large public IT projects. This is to ensure that public money is spent on well-planned and coherent systems.
Mandatory IT systems inventory: Offices will be required to maintain and update an inventory of their IT systems (SIST). This will increase transparency and help in planning the state's digital development.
More digital audits: Amended regulations will facilitate conducting audits in administration using electronic tools, such as electronic signatures and digital documents.
Budget for digitalization: A maximum limit of 389 million PLN from the state budget has been allocated for implementing the changes in the years 2025-2034.
