Postal Law Amendments: Shortened Storage for Shipments and Reporting Deregulation

The draft law proposes shortening the storage period for undeliverable shipments (containing content other than correspondence) from 12 to 6 months before destruction. It also introduces reporting simplifications to the President of UKE, including electronic submission and an exemption from full reporting for operators with revenues below PLN 400,000.
Key points
A postal operator will be allowed to destroy the content of an undeliverable shipment (other than correspondence) after 6 months from its opening.
Operators with annual revenues from postal activity of at least PLN 400,000 will submit reports, while others will submit only statements.
Failure by an operator to fulfill the information obligation for two consecutive years will result in sanctions (deletion from the register).
