Extension of Electricity Price Freeze until End of 2026

The draft law extends the freeze on electricity prices for households, public utility entities, and small and medium-sized enterprises until the end of 2026. This means citizens and businesses will pay for electricity at fixed maximum rates, protecting them from rising living and operating costs. This solution aims to stabilize energy expenditures amidst an uncertain market situation.
Key points
Electricity prices for households will be frozen at 412 PLN/MWh from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
For public utility entities (hospitals, schools) and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, the maximum electricity price will be 500 PLN/MWh during the same period.
Consumers who already benefited from frozen prices in 2024 will not need to submit new declarations for the period from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
The law includes a mechanism for settling compensation for energy companies for applying lower prices, ensuring continuity of support and market stability.
