Extension of Electricity Price Protection for Households until End of 2025

This law extends the maximum electricity price mechanism for households until the end of 2025. Thanks to this, citizens will pay 500 PLN/MWh for electricity instead of approximately 623 PLN/MWh, aiming to protect against rising costs and energy poverty. This support applies exclusively to households.
Key points
The maximum electricity price of 500 PLN/MWh for households will be valid until December 31, 2025.
Without this change, households would pay approximately 623 PLN/MWh, meaning real savings on electricity bills.
Financial support is directed exclusively to households, not including businesses or institutions.
Compensation costs for energy suppliers, resulting from maintaining lower prices, will be covered by the COVID-19 Counteracting Fund.
