New DOM Portal: Greater Transparency in Housing Prices

This law introduces the Housing Transaction Data Portal (Portal DOM), which will collect and publicly share statistics on transactional prices of apartments and houses. Citizens will gain easier access to information about real estate prices in various locations, helping them make informed decisions when buying or selling. Developers and other property sellers will be obliged to provide detailed transaction data.
Key points
Citizens will gain access to public statistics on apartment and house prices on a special portal, which will facilitate property valuation before buying or selling.
The Portal will collect detailed transaction information (price, area, number of rooms), but buyers' personal data will be protected and not publicly disclosed.
Developers and other property sellers will be required to submit data on concluded contracts to the Portal within 7 days, facing fines or even imprisonment for providing false information.
The collected data will also be used by state institutions for analysis and developing better programs to meet citizens' housing needs.
