New rules for student cooperatives in schools: fostering youth entrepreneurship.

The law introduces clear rules for establishing and operating student cooperatives in schools, offering young people a chance to learn entrepreneurship and cooperation. These cooperatives will not be considered commercial businesses; their goal is education and skill development, without profit for students. This allows students to gain practical experience in management and economics.
Key points
Students aged 13 and older can form cooperatives in schools (min. 5 members, parental consent for minors).
Cooperatives will engage in service, trade, or manufacturing activities for the school and students, but will not be treated as for-profit businesses.
Members receive no remuneration, and profits are allocated to the cooperative's or school's statutory goals.
The membership fee for a cooperative cannot exceed PLN 10 and is non-refundable.
The school principal approves the cooperative's establishment and appoints a teacher-supervisor.
