More funds for renewable energy in agriculture from state lands
This new law changes how funds from managing state-owned agricultural properties are used. Its main goal is to support the development of renewable energy sources, especially in agriculture, by financing investments on State Treasury lands. Additionally, unspent funds for these purposes will not return to the state budget but will be re-allocated to similar initiatives.
Key points
Money from managing state agricultural lands will now be allocated to building and developing renewable energy installations, such as biogas plants, on these lands.
Unspent funds for supporting renewable energy in agriculture will not go to the state budget but will be re-used for similar projects or other agriculture-related tasks.
The State Treasury will be able to acquire properties more easily if needed for policies supporting renewable energy development in agriculture.
Some funds will be allocated to compensation for properties left outside Poland's current borders.
