More Green Energy: Facilitations for Wind Farms and Renewables.
New regulations will accelerate the construction of offshore wind farms and other renewable energy sources (RES) in Poland. The act introduces special zones where green energy investments will be simpler, aiming to increase the country's energy security and influence electricity prices.
Key points
Faster RES Construction: Special 'accelerated development zones' will be created where building facilities like solar or wind farms will require fewer formalities, shortening investment time.
Support for Offshore Wind Farms: Rules for financial support and procedures for building farms in the Baltic Sea have been streamlined. Multiple farms can share infrastructure, reducing costs.
Maritime Safety: A safety zone (up to 500 meters) will be established around each offshore wind turbine, prohibiting entry for unauthorized vessels.
Benefits for Apartment Building Residents: Prosumers in multi-family buildings (e.g., housing communities) can allocate money from surplus electricity sales to a renovation fund or to lower residents' fees.
New Offshore Work Rules: Special working time regulations are introduced for personnel servicing wind farms, allowing longer shifts (up to 14 hours) in exchange for an equally long period of time off.
