Enhanced Oversight and New Funding Rules for Research Institutions
The act introduces changes to the functioning of the National Centre for Research and Development, research institutes, and other science entities. It increases the minister's powers regarding the appointment of management staff and council members, introduces subject subsidies for research institutes, and sets new qualification requirements for their directors. It also regulates non-compete issues in the Łukasiewicz Research Network.
