Personal Assistance Act: Support for Persons with Disabilities and Their Families
The new law introduces systemic personal assistance for persons with disabilities, enabling them to live more independently and participate actively in society. It regulates the rules for granting assistance, assistant qualifications, and service financing, relieving families and caregivers.

Persons with disabilities aged 13-65 can apply for free personal assistance to help them with daily activities, mobility, and participation in social and professional life.
Personal assistants will be employed under a contract, with a gross hourly wage of PLN 49 to 55, subject to indexation and mandatory civil liability insurance.
An electronic system will be introduced for submitting applications, managing assistance, and monitoring service quality, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
The law will relieve families and caregivers of persons with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to pursue professional or social activities.
Funding for personal assistance and its operational costs will come from the state budget, ensuring stability and universal access to services.
