Changes in teacher pay for overtime and substitute lessons

New rules ensure teachers are paid for overtime hours even if classes were cancelled due to reasons beyond their control, provided they were ready to conduct them. In such cases, the school may assign other statutory tasks. The rules also clarify pay for short-notice substitute lessons, which can be held during originally scheduled class time if those classes could not take place due to school-related reasons.
Key points
Teachers will be paid for overtime if classes were cancelled due to reasons not related to the teacher, as long as they were ready to conduct them.
