Changes in education funding: subsidies for schools and skill centers

The law introduces new rules for granting subsidies to schools and educational institutions that start operating at different times of the year. It also specifies how vocational skill centers will be funded in 2026. For some students and vocational course participants, subsidies will continue under the old rules, and any unpaid subsidies will be paid out within 30 days of the law taking effect.
Key points
New subsidy deadlines: schools opening from January to mid-June will receive their first subsidy the following year, while those opening later may have to wait until the second year after opening.
Students who completed adult schools or vocational courses before January 1, 2025, will receive subsidies under the old, more favorable rules.
Vocational skill centers selected in 2024-2025 competitions will receive funding for training from July to December 2026, within the overall education budget.
Unpaid subsidies that were due before the law takes effect will be paid out in a single installment within 30 days of its announcement.
