Digitization of Business Registry (CEIDG), Civil Partnerships Online, and New Entrepreneur Obligations
This law fully digitizes applications to the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG) and enables the online registration and publication of civil partnership (spółka cywilna) information. It also introduces new rules for updating data, verifying business addresses, and managing business succession. For entrepreneurs, this means the end of paper applications at municipal offices, new reporting duties, and simplified online procedures.
Key points
End of paper applications: from November 1, 2026, new businesses, and from November 1, 2028, all other CEIDG matters must be handled exclusively online.
Civil partnerships in CEIDG: entrepreneurs will be able to conclude a civil partnership agreement online and publish its data in CEIDG, replacing the current practice of entering the partnership's NIP and REGON into a partner's entry.
New data in the register: CEIDG will include email addresses, information on legal representatives of minor entrepreneurs, and bans on conducting business for succession administrators.
Business address verification: the minister may request a succession administrator to prove the right to use a premises; failure to provide documents may result in removal from CEIDG.
Automatic data cleanup: the CEIDG system will automatically correct or remove outdated entries, such as incorrect addresses, REGON numbers, or civil partnership details in a company's name.
