Judiciary Overhaul: Verifying Judges Appointed Between 2018-2025

This law aims to restore trust in the courts by regulating the status of judges appointed from 2018-2025. It introduces a verification of their appointments and gives citizens a limited opportunity to reopen cases they presided over.
Key points
The status of judges appointed between 2018-2025 will be verified. Some will keep their positions, others will return to previous roles or leave the profession, but all can participate in new, open competitions.
Citizens who questioned a judge's status during their trial will get a special opportunity to have their case reconsidered. Most past court rulings will remain valid.
The Supreme Court's Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs and the special 'extraordinary complaint' appeal will be abolished.
All vacated judicial positions will be filled through new, transparent competitions before a properly constituted National Council of the Judiciary.
