Establishment of the National Security University: New Education and Research Opportunities
The act transforms the War Studies Academy into the National Security University, aiming to strengthen the country's defense system through better education of military and civilian specialists. Citizens will gain access to a broader educational offer in security, and the new university's diplomas will have higher prestige in the job market.

The War Studies Academy will be transformed into the National Security University from March 1, 2026, with its headquarters in Warsaw.
The new University will be supervised by the Minister of National Defense and aims to become a leading center for strategic thought, technological innovation, and interdisciplinary security research.
All students, doctoral candidates, employees, and soldiers of the Academy will automatically become part of the University, retaining their rights and obligations, ensuring continuity of education and employment.
The University will be required to meet the criteria of having at least six scientific disciplines with a B+ category or higher in three different fields by the end of the second evaluation (around 2033/2034), otherwise it will lose the right to use the name "University."
New scientific disciplines, such as security engineering and civil engineering, geodesy, and transport, are planned to be established, expanding the educational and research offerings.
Investments in infrastructure, including modern laboratories and command centers, are intended to ensure world-class education and research, supporting the development of defense and civilian technologies.
The establishment of the University is expected to positively impact the labor market by creating new jobs for academic, administrative, and technical staff, and increasing the competitiveness of graduates.
The costs associated with establishing the University, estimated at approximately 99 million PLN, will be covered by the Ministry of National Defense budget and the university's own funds, without burdening the Ministry of Science and Higher Education budget.
