New rules for senior clubs: easier establishment and financial support

This draft law introduces new, simplified rules for establishing and operating senior clubs for people over 60. Seniors will be able to more easily create their own organizations, which will gain legal personality and financial support from the state budget. The goal is to activate, integrate, and combat loneliness among older people by offering them various activities and assistance.
Key points
Easier creation of senior clubs: People over 60 can easily establish a club (min. 10 members) and register it with the provincial governor, gaining legal personality.
Annual financial support: Senior clubs will receive annual financial aid from the state budget ranging from PLN 5,000 to PLN 7,000, depending on the number of members, for their activities.
Simplified finances: Clubs will be able to keep simplified accounting records, and their income designated for statutory purposes will be exempt from tax.
Activation and integration: The aim of the clubs is to support educational, cultural, physical, and care activities for seniors, helping them combat loneliness and isolation.
Administrative support: The provincial governor will assist in the creation and operation of clubs, and oversee their compliance with regulations.
