Changes to the Agriculture Protection Fund: new aid rules for producer groups

This law changes how compensation from the Agriculture Protection Fund is granted. For agricultural producer groups, the compensation will now be treated as a different type of public aid (de minimis aid), which may affect its amount. It also introduces an obligation to submit additional declarations and certificates, and in some cases may require the return of part or all of the compensation already received.
Key points
Agricultural producer groups must submit new de minimis aid declarations to keep their granted compensation.
Compensation for groups may be increased or decreased depending on de minimis aid limits.
If a group fails to submit the required documents within 14 days, the compensation decision may expire and the money must be returned.
Pending penalty proceedings for failing to provide information to the Fund will be discontinued.
