New Law: Making Everyday Products and Services More Accessible for All
A new act makes it mandatory for key products and services to be adapted for people with special needs. This means computers, ATMs, e-shops, and transport services must become easier to use for everyone, including seniors and people with disabilities. The act also grants consumers the right to complain about inaccessible products and services.
Key points
From June 28, 2025, many products (e.g., computers, smartphones, payment terminals) and services (e.g., banking, e-commerce, transport) must be accessible to people with disabilities.
Companies (producers, importers, service providers) are responsible for adapting their offerings and can face financial penalties for non-compliance.
Consumers gain the right to file a complaint directly with a company if a product or service fails to meet accessibility requirements.
The act does not apply to services provided by micro-entrepreneurs or to products placed on the market before the law takes effect.
