New Rules for Income Tax Disclosure by Large Companies

The law introduces an obligation for the largest companies operating in Poland and their capital groups to publish detailed information on income tax. This aims to increase the transparency of their financial activities, especially regarding taxes paid in different countries.
Key points
Large companies (with revenues exceeding PLN 3.5 billion in Poland or EUR 750 million for international groups) will have to prepare and publish special income tax reports.
These reports will include information on revenues, profits, number of employees, and taxes paid in individual countries, including tax havens.
This information will be publicly available in the National Court Register and on company websites, increasing public scrutiny over the tax settlements of large entities.
The law also amends regulations regarding liability for irregularities in financial and tax reports and the obligations of statutory auditors in this regard.
Changes concerning tax reporting will apply to financial years starting after June 21, 2024, and the obligation to submit documents to the National Court Register and publish them on websites will apply from June 22, 2025.
