Faster changes to the number of MPs in electoral districts

This bill simplifies how the number of MPs elected in each district is changed. Instead of a lengthy parliamentary process, the Minister of Interior will decide, based on a proposal from the National Electoral Commission. The goal is to better match the number of seats to the current population, making every vote more equal.
Key points
The number of MPs per district will be set by the Minister of Interior, not by law, speeding up adjustments.
Changes can only be initiated by the National Electoral Commission, which checks population data.
No changes are allowed 6 months before the end of the Sejm's term or after elections are called, to prevent manipulation.
The new rules aim to ensure each citizen's vote has equal weight, regardless of where they live.
