Greater electoral access for deaf and hard-of-hearing people
New regulations require major election committees to translate their broadcasts into Polish Sign Language and publish basic information on their websites in a format accessible to people with hearing impairments. TVP will have to re-air election debates with subtitles if the initial broadcast lacked them. This will enable deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens to independently learn about election programs and vote more consciously.
