Raising cash payment limit between businesses to PLN 25,000

Parliament is considering a change that will allow companies to pay cash for larger purchases. The cash payment limit between businesses will rise from PLN 15,000 to PLN 25,000. This responds to inflation – since 2018 prices have risen by about 60%, so the old limit began covering more and more ordinary transactions.
Key points
Cash up to PLN 25,000: businesses can pay cash for transactions up to PLN 25,000 (currently PLN 15,000) without mandatory bank transfer.
Fewer penalties and less bureaucracy: entrepreneurs avoid tax sanctions for cash payments within the new limit – they won't lose the right to deduct costs in PIT and CIT.
Easier purchases for businesses: exemption from mandatory split payment (VAT split payment mechanism) and White List VAT verification for transactions up to PLN 25,000.
Savings for small businesses: lower banking costs, no need to rent payment terminals for small transactions.
When the change takes effect: January 1, 2027 – payments under contracts signed earlier are also covered by the new limit.
