New rules for combining survivor's pension with other benefits
The act introduces the possibility of combining a survivor's pension with other benefits, such as retirement pension or disability pension. Eligible individuals will be able to choose the more favorable payment option, receiving the full survivor's pension and a portion of the second benefit, or vice versa. The new rules will come into effect on July 1, 2025.
