Voluntary Social Insurance for Entrepreneurs: Proposed Changes
The bill proposes introducing voluntary social insurance (pension and disability) for entrepreneurs who are natural persons. This solution aims to allow entrepreneurs to decide independently on their pension security methods. The bill provides that health insurance will remain mandatory.

Entrepreneurs who are natural persons will be able to opt out of mandatory social insurance (pension and disability).
This option also applies to persons starting a business for the first time (modification of the so-called "start-up relief").
Health insurance contributions will remain mandatory, and the rules for determining them will be adjusted to the new regulations.
Persons collaborating with entrepreneurs using the voluntary option will still be covered by insurance, financed by the entrepreneur.
The estimated annual cost of implementing these changes for the state budget may amount to up to 20 billion PLN.
