More Insurance Money for Fire Brigades and Volunteer Fire Services
New regulations specify how money from mandatory fire insurance is to be transferred to support fire brigades and volunteer fire services. They also define exactly what these funds can be spent on and introduce an obligation for Volunteer Fire Services to report on their use.

10% of revenues from mandatory fire insurance will go towards fire protection purposes, including operational readiness and modernization of fire stations.
These funds will be divided equally between the State Fire Service and the Association of Volunteer Fire Services.
Volunteer Fire Services will be required to submit an annual report on the expenditure of the received funds.
The tasks of volunteer fire services have been expanded to include preventing fires and other threats.
