Extension of Mortgage Payment Holidays with New Conditions for 2024
The draft law extends the possibility of suspending mortgage payments for 2024. New rules introduce restrictions, meaning not all borrowers will be able to use this support. The changes aim to help those still struggling with loan repayments, considering the loan amount and household income.

The option to suspend mortgage payments (payment holidays) is extended until December 31, 2024.
Borrowers with loans up to PLN 400,000 can use payment holidays without additional conditions.
For loans between PLN 400,000 and PLN 800,000, payment suspension will only be possible if the monthly installment exceeds 50% of the average monthly household income.
Applications for payment suspension will require a declaration of household income and the number of household members if the loan exceeds PLN 400,000.
