Easier prosecution of anonymous online offenders

New regulations will make it easier for victims to pursue their rights in court when their personal rights are violated online by unknown individuals. The court will be able to assist in identifying the perpetrator, which is intended to increase accountability for anonymous posts and improve online safety.
Key points
Introduction of the possibility to file a lawsuit against an "unknown person" in cases of personal rights violations online.
The court will be obliged to request data from internet service providers and telecommunications companies to identify the perpetrator, with the possibility of imposing high financial penalties for non-cooperation.
Internet service providers will have to store user data for a longer period (up to 12 months in case of violations), facilitating perpetrator identification.
