Energy Price Protection and Lower Bills for Households in 2025
The act extends support for households by maintaining a maximum electricity price and suspending the capacity fee for part of 2025. This will help citizens avoid significant increases in electricity bills. At the same time, businesses, local governments, and public institutions will no longer be covered by the maximum price mechanism.

Maximum price for households: The maximum electricity price of 500 PLN/MWh will be in effect until September 30, 2025, protecting against higher market prices.
Suspension of capacity fee: The capacity fee will be suspended for households from January 1 to June 30, 2025, further reducing costs.
Exclusion of businesses and institutions from protection: Small and medium-sized enterprises, local governments, and public institutions will no longer be covered by maximum electricity prices from 2025, meaning a return to market prices for them.
Administrative improvements: Changes have been introduced to improve the flow of funds for compensation payments and clarify state aid verification rules.
