New Rules for Collecting Farm Sustainability Data in Poland
This law introduces the EU Farm Sustainability Data Network (FSDN) in Poland, replacing the previous FADN system. Farmers who voluntarily agree to participate will receive an income tax-exempt financial payment. The aim is to collect data covering the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of farms.
Key points
Farmers can voluntarily participate in the new EU system for collecting farm sustainability data (FSDN).
For participating, farmers will receive a financial payment (0.0625 of the average wage) that is exempt from personal income tax.
Data will be collected by regional agricultural advisory centers or the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics (the liaison agency).
The previous accounting data system (FADN) is transformed into a system that also includes environmental and social data.
A maximum state budget limit for this task is set, ranging from PLN 49.3 million in 2025 to PLN 65.25 million in 2034.
