Stricter Rules for Bills Bypassing Committees in House

This proposal changes how the House of Representatives works. It means that if a bill or resolution doesn't go through the usual committee review process, it will need a much larger majority (two-thirds) to be approved. This makes it more difficult for legislation to pass if it skips the standard steps.
Key points
Bills not reviewed by the relevant committee need a 2/3 vote to pass.
This change affects the process for approving new laws in the House.
