Veterans' Rights Protection: No Automatic Gun Background Check Reporting.

This act aims to prevent the automatic sharing of veterans' personal information with the criminal background check system for gun purchases. This means that simply receiving benefits through a fiduciary will not be a basis to restrict a veteran's gun rights, unless a court rules otherwise.
Key points
The Department of Veterans Affairs cannot automatically send veterans' data to the national instant criminal background check system (NICS).
Such data can only be shared if a judge or court determines the veteran is a danger to themselves or others.
This change protects veterans' gun rights, preventing their loss solely due to receiving financial assistance through a fiduciary.
