Elections: New Rules for Polling Place Change Notifications

This act introduces new rules for informing voters about changes to their polling places. If your polling place is changed, the state must notify you at least 7 days before the election. This aims to ensure everyone knows where to cast their vote.
Key points
States must notify voters of a polling place change at least 7 days before federal elections.
If a change occurs later and a voter appears at the old location, the state must make reasonable efforts to enable them to vote.
These new rules apply to federal elections held on or after January 1, 2022.
