Tax Credit for Internet Signal Boosters in Underserved Areas.

This new law introduces a tax credit for individuals in areas with inadequate internet access. It allows citizens to recover a portion of the cost of devices that improve home internet signals. The goal is to facilitate access to high-speed internet where it is limited.
Key points
You can receive a refundable tax credit of 75% of the cost of a communications signal booster, up to a maximum of $400.
This credit applies to one purchase only and is for residents in areas designated as underserved for internet access.
The law is effective for tax years beginning after December 31, 2020, and terminates after December 31, 2025.
