No Budget, No Pay: Congressional Salaries Withheld Without Budget Resolution

This act aims to incentivize Congress to pass a budget promptly. If the House or Senate fails to agree on a concurrent budget resolution by April 15, 2021, the salaries of their members will be held in an escrow account. Payments will only be released once a budget is agreed upon or at the end of the Congressional term, ensuring politicians prioritize crucial financial matters.
Key points
Salary withholding: If Congress fails to pass a budget by April 15, members' salaries will be frozen.
Incentive for action: This aims to encourage politicians to agree on important financial decisions more quickly.
Payment upon budget approval: Salaries will only be released after the budget is adopted or at the end of the Congressional term.
