New Rules for Former Officials: Extended Lobbying Ban

This act introduces changes aimed at increasing integrity in government. Citizens can expect that former high-ranking officials will not be able to immediately influence government decisions on behalf of private companies or foreign countries after leaving their positions. This aims to prevent the use of previous contacts and knowledge for private gain.
Key points
Former high-ranking officials are banned from lobbying for private companies for 5 years after leaving their positions (previously 1 or 2 years).
Former high-ranking officials are permanently banned from lobbying on behalf of foreign countries, regardless of time elapsed.
