Delay Medicare Advance Payment Repayment for Healthcare Providers

This act extends the deadline for hospitals and other healthcare providers to begin repaying advance payments received under the Medicare program by three months. This gives them more time to manage their finances, potentially ensuring continued access to medical services for citizens. It provides financial flexibility to healthcare facilities during challenging times.
Key points
The repayment start date for Medicare advance payments for hospitals and providers is extended from 12 to 15 months.
If a facility has already started repayment, further offsets will be suspended until the amount paid equals what would have been offset.
Changes apply to both Medicare Part A (hospitals) and Part B (doctors, other providers).
