Tax Credit for Broadband Infrastructure in Underserved Areas

This act introduces a new tax credit to help residents in areas without high-speed internet access. It allows individuals who collectively invest in building broadband infrastructure to recover a portion of their costs. The goal is to provide internet access where it's lacking, facilitating education, work, and communication.
Key points
You can get a 75% reimbursement for broadband infrastructure costs if you live in an area without high-speed internet access.
The maximum reimbursement amount is $10,000 per person per year.
To qualify, you must be part of a group of at least two people jointly investing in internet with speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.
The credit applies to payments made after the act's enactment date.
