Visa Facilitation for Portugal and Changes to E Visa Rules

This act extends eligibility for E-1 and E-2 trade and investor visas to Portuguese nationals, provided Portugal offers similar status to U.S. citizens. It also introduces new residency requirements for E visa applicants who acquired their nationality through financial investment. These changes aim to foster trade and investment between the U.S. and Portugal.
Key points
Portuguese nationals become eligible for E-1 and E-2 visas if Portugal grants similar status to U.S. citizens.
Applicants who obtained nationality through financial investment must have resided in that country for at least 3 years to qualify for an E visa.
