Veterans: Safe Medical Marijuana Use and Research on its Effects.

This act aims to allow veterans to use, possess, and transport medical marijuana in states or tribal lands where it is legal. Department of Veterans Affairs physicians will be able to discuss and recommend this therapy to veterans. Additionally, the act mandates studies on the effects of medical marijuana on veterans' pain and its role in reducing opioid use.
