Death Benefits for TSA Officers: New Support for Families.

This act extends death benefits eligibility to families of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers who die in the line of duty. This means that families of these employees, who protect our transportation systems, will receive the same financial support as families of other public safety officers. These changes are effective retroactively from October 31, 2013.
