Support for Veterans and Families at Tribal Colleges

This act establishes a pilot program to assist veterans, service members, and their families in accessing educational and vocational support at tribal colleges. It also modifies rules for veteran education funding and extends programs for homeless veterans and housing loan fees.
Key points
A new "Native VetSuccess" pilot program will place counselors and outreach coordinators at selected tribal colleges to help veterans access benefits and services.
Veterans completing their studies on a less than half-time basis can still receive full educational benefits, including housing stipends, if they enroll in an additional course.
Assistance programs for homeless veterans are expanded and extended until September 2025, and veteran housing loan fees are extended until December 2030.
