Student Mental Health: Crisis Contacts on ID Cards.

New rules aim to improve student access to mental health support. Colleges will be required to include contact information for mental health organizations on student ID cards or their websites. This is intended to help students quickly find support in crisis situations.
Key points
Colleges issuing student ID cards must include contact numbers for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, and a campus mental health center.
If a college does not issue ID cards, it must publish the same contact information on its website.
The changes will take effect one year after the law is enacted, allowing institutions time to comply.
