New jury selection rules for death penalty cases.

This law changes the jury selection process in cases where the death penalty is a possibility. If the initial jury cannot reach a unanimous decision on the sentence, a new jury will be impaneled. This aims to ensure that decisions in such serious cases are made in a legally sound manner.
Key points
If a jury fails to unanimously recommend a death sentence, a new jury will be impaneled.
The new jury will reconsider the case to reach a unanimous recommendation.
If the second jury also fails to reach unanimity, the court will impose a sentence other than death.
