Increased Benefits for Disabled Veterans

This act aims to increase financial support for retired military personnel with disabilities. It allows more veterans to receive both military retired pay and disability compensation concurrently, improving their financial well-being. The changes also extend to veterans with shorter service periods.
Key points
Veterans with a service-connected disability rated less than 50% can now receive both retired pay and disability compensation.
Disabled retirees with less than 20 years of service will also be eligible for concurrent receipt of both benefits.
The act removes previous limitations on combining these benefits, meaning more money for eligible veterans.
